Problems After Only 16 Months

All of a sudden for no reason red vertical line appeared in my television and after troubleshooting it it wouldnt go away. Outreached to LG the manufacturer I told them I was already passed the one-year warranty. But they gave me hope that theyd help and that turned into the runaround for 5-days asked me to troubleshoot it and send all kinds of proof of purchase and then told me it was out of warranty so they couldnt do anything to help. Id buy another brand that wont break after 16 months and leave you high and dry.

Good picture but poor sound export.

Picture looks amazing. I love the colors in the crispness of the images. Movies look amazing as well as shows. Whenever I use a soundbar no matter which one the sound that is exported from the HDMI eARC sounds terrible. Ive contacted two different soundbar companies and sound quality remains crackled through vocals. I tried different settings and nothing changed. I tried to contact customer support and nothing.

I bought this TV over 18 months ago before horizontal stripes began to appear on the screen. Unfortunately warranty ends after 1 year. This our 3rd LG OLED TV and was the only one to have this problem. The TV gets used max of 3 hours a day and only about 8 hours total per week. We have all safety setting enabled to prevent burn-in so I dont know what the issue was.

Picture quality - 8.8/10 Sound - 5/10 definitely need a sound bar or system to accompany it. Apps- 6.8/10 has major streaming apps but if you want ESPN NFL or other specific streaming apps you may need to get a firestick or Roku. Limited apps Overall 8/10 Very slim design and looks and operates great.

Overall a great TV for those that want to get an OLED with all HDMI Ports at 2.1 as well as a phenomenal picture. The design is simple and straightforward but I wish there wasnt nearly as many ads on screen for such an expensive TV. The base is a love/hate relationship as it is incredibly sturdy but also make any movement a chore due to the weight.

Read the FINE Print Carefully

Until April 14 2023 15 months after purchase and well within the tag line advertised LG USA AUTHORIZED 2 Year Extended Protection Plan this LG OLED TV Model # OLED 65 C1 PUB TV developed a bright white line from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen approximately 10 inches in from the right side. Hours long phone calls with LG Service Technicians supervisors Amazon Logistics supervisors etc etc etc resulted in no repair and a denial by LG and Amazon regarding the reality of the extended protection plan warranty noted on the tag line for the product on the AMAZON order page. Promises by Amazon Logistics supervisor to call every day until the issue is resolved have resulted in absolutely NO phone calls.

beautiful Display in bright rooms

Decided to place Tv in living room over but room has lots of windows also wanted something that wasnt too thick looking when looking at the side or pulling away from wall to angle towards kitchen area. Gives a beautiful pcture and sound is decent. did have an issue with line but problem has seemed to disappear after running built in OLED care and checking for plastic that may cause overheating. would give 5 stars but cant connect to LG app ever since changing internet service providers even after resetting tv and removing info from app.

I researched and geeked out on the purchase of LG C-1 OLED television .I loved this TV and loved that after a year and a half it was still rated as best tv to buy.after a year and a half we turned on tv to find horizontal lines across screen.We did all the troubleshooting stuff to make sure it wasnt something simple and found it was a panel that was bad.A rare event for these units but however in talking with LG they decided on courtesy repair.They called and scheduled a local company to come out and repair my tv.Im sure it will be fine and done soon.Local company has already called and is ordering parts. What I want to emphasize is that its hard to know a company well until something goes wrongthen the learning begins. Ill tell you true this company has been upfrontdirect and has treated me kindly and with respect even though I was out of warrentee.I give them kudos for listening and acting in a manor which promotes my continued interest in all things LG. Do they make cars?just kidding.5 stars you folks.

and I would easily give a 5 but there was a glitch after 5 mo where remote went non commumicato. That said I was supplied with a new remote with few questions asked as none the LG scripts worked. It appears there is a software issue between the LG sound bar and tv It took me a while to figure this out but just a warning is that LG support does not understand this issue. A great setup just an FYI.

I have nothing at all to complain about the tv. Except the fact that after 14 months it started to have a thin vertical line and after a couple days now it wont turn on at all. I would think for a meaty 2000 dollar tv it would have a warranty longer than a year. But it dont. As for the tv its by far the best out there Amazing picture quality and even better for gaming. The sound is impressive All the AI features are a must have I hope to get it fixed soon.

I bought this TV last April. I did a lot of research. This TV was rated as a great value. It worked great until about 3 weeks ago when a vertical line as thin as a hair showed up down the middle of the screen. Contacted LGthey put me in contact with a repair technician. Talked to him on the phonetold he what was going onsaid he needed to order a new panel. Took about a week for him to get get. Came out day after he got it and installed the new panel in about 30 minutes. Working great I have bought many LG TVs in the past and loved them. This is the 1st time I have ever had a issueand they took care of it. I would highly recommend this TV.

BEWARE Pixel Burnout

NO OLED TV from LG 1/28/2023

These OLED TVs has some major problems with Pixel Burnout. Beware people LG DOES NOT COVER UNDER WARRANTY even though Pixel Burnout Is A Known Issue. If this happens ToYou and You are outside LG one year warranty You have to pay for repair or Buy A New TV.

I bought this tv in Nov 2021 thinking this tv would be great for video games. Which it is but the screen broke after only about a year. It would not even turn on.. I had the have the entire screen replaced from LG.

Faulty panel issues after only 1 year of use.

I bought this tv in December of 2021. By December of 2022 a few weeks outside of the warranty period the panel developed a very noticeable while vertical line due to a faulty panel.

Overall i am happy with the purchase there were issues with walmart sending me an open box and not being professional about the situation but the TV is working. The picture quality is good. I was expecting more from OLED technology to be fair but its hard to tell without knowing image source.

Im loving this TV so far. The picture is just fantastic and I really cant think of anything to complain about. Lots of customization nice remote and great gaming features. Slightly worried about potential burn-in with OLEDs but it does have some nifty features to help prevent it so hopefully it wont be an issue.

LG 65 OLED fantastic yet again

Bought this LG OLED 65 C1 model to replace my 5 year old LG OLED 65 B7P model and love the upgrade. As usual the picture quality is top notch befitting what is generally considered to be the best overall 65 TV in its class. I have 4 different LG OLEDs originally 2017/18/19/20 and now 2018/19/20/21. The WebOS interface on this 2021 C1 model is a big improvement over the older interface and adding any streaming app is simple. My kids love the Game Optimizer setting that automatically kicks on when they are using their PS5. Movies and TV shows benefit greatly from the Dolby Atmos sound although as with any TV the internal speakers dont have the oomph of an external speaker system and a dedicated subwoofer. I also love the newer magic remote with the dedicated NetFlix Amazon Prime Disney+ and LG Apps buttons. All in all a great upgrade over my 2017 model and the LG OLED continues to impress.
