Awesome TV until it wasnt

I got this TV back in late 2019 and loved it. After about 3.5 years of light use a red vertical line showed up in the middle. There was nothing to be done other than replace the panel. Since that was the same cost as a new TV it was essentially shot Great TV but thats a short life for an expensive item.

LG 55 C9 Great TV

Bought in autumn 2019. Beautiful picture for tv streaming content games and 4k to BD movies. The OS firmware has been rock solid with little issues. LG has kept there promise with VRR support with 120 support with no issues. Gaming has been a great experience on this set. DTS audio pass through which is rare for a great audio experience to external sound systems. The main tv has very good sound on its own. Clean slate design but the supplied remote doesnt match the quality of the tv set. LG needs to add an upgraded remote with backlight buttons for late night viewing since the tv reproduces true blacks at night. Also having the LG OLED E6 the Remote was superior to the one on this set.

Under 2 years and display has 2 inch line

After having be spoiled by high quality of Pioneer plasmas I had an eye on the OLED LG C9. Well fast forward to 2023 my not so old LG C9 has developed a 2 inch flickering line going from top to bottom in the middle of the screen. Not sure why it developed but its been handing on the wall in my bedroom and only used in the evening. I called warranty and one guy said since its under 4 years LG will pay for panel as long as I pay for service call. Someone was supposed to call me. Nobody called. So I called back and new agent said the previous agent was wrong and my TV is not under warranty and there is nothing they can do but to recommend local LG service providers. I would have to pay for it. This is an absolute joke. To pay for top of the line OLED only to have its screen go bad in under 2 years so a have to pay for another one. Sounds pre-planned. Very NOT happy This camera after brand new LG washing tower started making the noise and LG warranty guy states that is normal. None of my previous old and boring machines made that sound when drying. Thousands of people agree online. Bottom line if LG does not step up and fixes this I am done with LG. LIFE is NOT that GOOD with such a terrible product quality.

This is the fourth LG OLED display we have gotten ---three TVs and one monitor and like the others it didnt disappoint ---my wife loves it in her bedroom and says it like watching everything for the first time---even replays

Exceptional TV

I have been really impressed with my LG OLED TV. Clarity quality of image brightness in all aspects of lighting. The addition of LG Channels greatly increases my viewing options. I purchased this TV to watch the 2022 World Cup and I have not been disappointed in my decision. You can not go wrong with this TV.

Ive had this TV for about 2 1/2 years. Overall Ive been very happy with it. However Ive recently discovered two obvious panels of burn in after less than 10000 hours of use. On a dark background its not visible but on a light background its somewhat disturbing. I realize the TV is out of warranty but I would think LG would somehow stand behind a product after relatively limited use...but they havent. The TV is still usable but its disappointing.

I must have been shipped the worst TV of the batch. It wont work with Alexa my 3 computers or even my cellphone It disconnects from my internet at random and the picture is no sharper than 10 year old TV which isnt smart or 4K How this top of the line LG passed inspection is a mystery to me. So very disappointed.

We now have 3 LG TVs in our home. This is our first OLED and WOW what a great picture. Easy setup right out of the box. Had it for about a month now and it works beautifully no issues whatsoever absolutely love it and would definitely recommend it.
